AJ ALVAREZ:

A.J. Alvarez is a self taught musician and vocalist out of the Humboldt Park neighborhood in Chicago. Raised up in Church, he discovered at an early age he had the gift of music, and soon began using his gifts within the Church. Singing at local events and talent shows he was motivated to keep pursuing music further. While in High school, a friend put a guitar in his hands and showed him basic chords to his favorite song. After that, A.J. was on a mission to teach himself to play guitar with aspirations of writing his own music. Coming from a diverse musical background, A.J. was influenced by the old school classics of Earth, Wind, & Fire, Santana, and Led Zeppelin. Realizing his love for all genres of music, he was eager to pursue a style of music that incorporated all his influences, and above all, that preached the message of Hope and Salvation through Jesus Christ. A.J. can be found now playing for the group Alert and attending Greenville Christian College where he is pursuing a Bachelors Degree of Sound Recording and Engineering.
